Inspection Report

Inspection Information Disclaimer:

This report is prepared at the request of the Owner/Agent and is provided subject to the following conditions:

  • This report applies to the vehicle as at the time of inspection only. It is a buyer’s responsibility to conduct a visual inspection of the vehicle at the point of sale as BPC Auto Inspect can only advise on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.
  • The Report is not a roadworthy certificate and cannot be used as a roadworthy. You acknowledge that BPC Auto Inspect does not check for any manufacturer recall notices and you should check that the vehicle is not subject to a recall notice.
  • Any assessment of condition is in no way an opinion as to likely future performance.
  • This report is customer advice only and is not a guarantee or warranty of any description.
  • As mechanical components will not be removed, excepting those required to conduct the authorised additional work, the inspection and assessment is based on visual external inspection and noise appreciation only.
  • A vehicle may not be road tested if it is unroadworthy or unregistered.
  • Any road test will be subject to traffic conditions and speed laws.

What is NOT checked:

  • Odometer and camshaft belt, drive belt and timing belt
  • Evidence of brake fluid contamination
  • Brake lining material, brake discs or drums (limited to what is immediately visible)
  • Wheel cylinders
  • Anti-lock braking system (ABS) mechanics
  • Engine mountings
  • Transmission mountings
  • Differential mountings
  • Engine cylinder compression
  • Oil pump strainer to assess sludge build up
  • Water pump/fan
  • Air filter element
  • Fuel pump or strainer/filter/pick-up
  • Reason for oil leaks
  • Any item that requires to be dismantled.
  • Internal engine, transmission and driveline components
  • Any oil level that is sealed by the manufacturer
  • Body water leaks or reason for leaks
  • Light hail damage or lightly peppered (limited to what is immediately visible depending on section of vehicle, location and lighting at time of inspection)
  • Any assessment of previously repaired collision damage including paint
  • Any assessment of previously repaired hail damage including paint
  • Any assesment to which repairs or service history have been carried out
  • Estimated expiry of exhaust system, clutch, dual mass flywheels
  • Engine Emission Controls including deletion of EGR Valves and catalytic converters
  • Degree of gas emissions
  • LPG systems
  • Air conditioning efficiency
  • Functionality of audio-visual or entertainment system including CD, Cassette, TV, DVD, iPod connectivity, sensors, alarm/security devices, satellite navigation systems/GPS
  • Vehicle’s computer systems, such as trip meter computers, cruise control and any other computer systems
  • Aftermarket accessories included as a result of owner’s modifications
  • Safety Inspection Reports (Roadworthy)
  • Other Vehicle Inspection Reports
  • Technical system, stereo, media head units

Important Information:

Risk to Purchaser When Buying a Used Car

  • Due to the restrictions or limitations on the detection and/or analysis of some faults, (those that are internal, concealed or hidden, and/or are not audible within the limitations of our road test) to proceed to purchase a vehicle without a warranty from the seller may expose the buyer to significant risks.
  • The vehicle inspection by BPC Auto Inspect including inspection reports, PPSR report and any images applies only at the time the inspection was carried out.
  • BPC Auto Inspect believes in maintaining good conduct standards for all business dealings with Buyers/Sellers In a professional, open & honest manner.
  • If a dispute happens to arise BPC Auto Inspect supports open communication & dialogue for a quick resolution to solve the complaint with the Buyer/Seller. (see below)

Fees, Charges, Cancellations, and Booking Policies for BPC Auto Inspect:

Payment Requirements:

To secure a vehicle inspection booking, all fees and charges must be settled using a major credit card at the time of reservation.

Inspection Discretion:

  • We retain the authority to decline inspecting or providing a report for any given vehicle.
  • To road test a vehicle, the vehicle must be in a roadworthy condition and have current registration.

Cancellation Guidelines:

  • Should you choose to cancel the Vehicle Inspection with more than 24 hours’ notice, a complete refund will be issued.
  • Cancellation of the vehicle inspection with less than 24 hours’ notice or if our inspector has already arrived at the vehicle location will incur a cancellation/attendance fee of $67.

Booking Timing and Potential Delays:

BPC Auto Inspect cannot be held responsible for delays in conducting a Vehicle Inspection or for inability to carry out the inspection due to factors beyond our reasonable control.
Depending on the specific location and availability, timelines for inspections may be subject to swift modifications. We commit to making reasonable attempts to reach out to you regarding any alterations in the inspection timeframe. In cases where we are unable to establish contact with you, we will liaise with the seller or individual on-site to arrange an agreed-upon inspection time.

Lodge Complaint:
If you have a complaint, BPC Auto Inspect believes in open & honest communication. Please make the complaint immediately in writing to craig@bpcautoinspect.com.au

Stage 2: Recording, Receipt & Drafting of Agreement

Your complaint will be recorded & a file number will be issued. A Drafting agreement is then started to help achieve a fair and balanced resolution. Whilst the drafting agreement is being made BPC Auto Inspect believes in fostering communication & problem solving which is in the best interest of both parties to help resolve the matter quickly and efficiently.

Please Note:
BPC Auto Inspect will always uphold its own integrity and its own responsibilities but will not be influenced by third parties like: finance companies, insurance companies or other automotive business organisations that don’t represent the customer/clients best interest or responsibilities.

Stage 3 – Monitoring

Please use the file number to monitor the progress. BPC Auto Inspect believes in open but confidential dialogue by both parties during such time the complaint is being resolved. BPC Auto Inspect will always endeavour to resolve the complaint quickly to achieve a fair and balanced resolution.
